N.B. : on fera remarquer que certains accessoires brevetés ont été décrits et proposés à la vente dans un catalogue (il y a divulgation des inventions) avant de procéder aux dépôts des demandes de brevets correspondantes (il s’agit notamment du wagon-grue n° 165 et du pont basculant n° 313). Les divulgations de 1940 n’affecte cependant pas la brevetabilité des brevets déposés postérieurement en 1941 (brevets n° 29 et 30). En droit américain, l’inventeur est en effet immunisé contre ses propres divulgations de son invention (notamment par utilisation, offre en vente ou vente) dans les douze mois précédant le dépôt de la demande de brevet.
